The plague came in, took us all out, and then graciously released us back into the world! We had about three different things happening in this house since Monday night. Monday I had my first chemo treatment on just one fancy little drug, and it all went great. And truly I have no idea how I handled the treatment because Monday night I had full blown flu symptoms. And Pierce did, and Ace had some mild version of something. Then the girls had something completely different, yet equally as funky going on. And Chris…well once again he was in the role of caretaker. This poor man can’t catch a damn break. He waited on all of us for a full 48 hours, bless him. You have never seen someone so happy to go back to work yesterday!
But in this time I was able to eat, and watch some things. And I can’t in good conscious not talk about clothing, I love it so much.
So I am late to the party on this one, but with good reason! We don’t have a Trader Joe’s in Savannah….don’t even get me started. But I found this seasoning that seems to have a cult following right HERE! (no need to tell me how cheap it is in-store, I am fully aware) I may have ordered three or four jars and I may have already gone through two! It is the perfect seasoning to put on everything. My favorites are , avocado, eggs, sweet potatoes, whole30 teriyaki chicken, the possibilities are really endless.
I have also been wearing these sock boots on a regular basis. They are my go-to shoe to pull out for every outfit, and they are SO comfortable! I fully plan on wearing them well into spring until my feet are suffocated by the humidity. If you haven’t given in to the sock boot trend, go ahead and jump on it. It was around last year and it plans to be around for a while longer.
Now, on the watching front. I feel like we have watched SO much lately. We are a little behind on Vikings, but still a show I look forward to watching all the time. We are also well into Pinky Blinders, and that show has us talking in our best British accents and yelling CALL THE COPPERS on an obnoxious level. We binged The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel in about three days. That show is SO SO good!! And hilarious and I feel like Midge is my spirit animal and when I beat cancer I am fully committing to a stand up career. See…that was a joke!
I have mentioned this show so many times on Instagram, but Chef’s Table is my love language. I love to cook! Chris tells me all the time that I should go to cooking school just for fun…..and it really would be so fun for me. Basically I am just lining up the potential career paths after cancer! Ha! But this show is not a “cooking show” it highlights truly amazing chefs around the world and let’s them tell their own story. Every episode is inspiring, insightful, and yes the food is equally drool worthy.
I think that is it for this glorious Friday! What have you been eating, wearing, and watching lately?
