Out and about in Savannah! Last weekend I had the pleasure of kicking off a major season sale at a local boutique here called Thread + Onion! I had stumbled upon Thread + Onion after this event a few months ago, and I have been in love ever since. This boutique is basically all of my style in brick and mortar form. The designs are pristine, fashion-forward yet not trendy, and superb quality. There is a limited number of pieces made, so you walk out feeling confident and excited to wear your new threads. I tried on just about everything in the store and I can’t stop thinking about the pieces I walked away from. But I also got two super cute dresses for the girls, that are one of a kind. The designers wanted to make a couple kids pieces, and I am so happy they were in the girls’ sizes.
I am also excited for this store because they will soon be going through a rebrand, offering more customization for the customer, and some more basic pieces introduced in their spring line! I had such a great time hanging out there, and helping my friends that came through to pick out some awesome pieces!
I have been dying to go to the Guo Pei Couture exhibit, and since surgery is fast approaching I wanted to be able to see it before it was gone. I have been following Guo Pei since Rihanna wore one of her dresses for the Met Ball. Her designs are out of this world! The detailing, and sheer size and weight of these dresses is incredible. I was so happy to see them up close!
There were only a few dresses on display here in Savannah, but there is a larger collection being displayed currently in Atlanta! So if you are in the area, I would definitely check them out!! And if you are in the Savannah area, the exhibit will be on display until March 4th.
The more and more I explore this charming city, the more I fall in love with it! I haven’t even begun to check off all the things on my “Savannah to-do” list (thanks a lot cancer!) but I am looking forward to surgery, recovering, and seeing and doing more!
